Israel accepts the numbers are correct...

israel is no stranger when it comes to necroviolence...

Back in 2023, it was reported that...

In Shajaiye, Gaza City, Israeli forces razed part of the Tunisian cemetery
Israeli military vehicles destroyed dozens of graves at a smaller cemetery in Shajaiye
Israeli forces damaged gravesites at the Al-Faluja cemetery
Beit Hanoun cemetery also in northern Gaza
Razing of a cemetery in Sheikh Ijlin, Gaza City
Razing of a cemetery in Beit Lahia, northern Gaza Strip

Then in 2024 it was reported that in Gaza City...

Israeli forces leveled the cemetery and a majority of the bodies were "removed, dismembered, and looted, along with some of the tombstones"
Bulldozers destroyed cemetery. Included trampling of corpses.
Israeli army drove a tank with CNN reporters inside over a dirt road through the graveyard recently bulldozed by Israeli tanks. Graves were visible on either side of the newly-bulldozed dirt road.

israel demands total respect when it comes to the remains of it's own people, yet cares not a jot for those it considers 'untermensch'...

Yet another war crime to add to the long list that israel has committed!

Interesting. Were you OK about the 100 "normal" bodies being moved? You give the impression that you thought this was absolutely fine, while moving Jewish corpses wouldn't be.
Yes because the graves were over 100 years old and the ones that still had families agreed to it, the Jewish one they didn't agree so I agree with their decision not to go ahead with the Jewish cemetery.

How old were the Jewish graves?

Graves do get moved surprisingly regularly. A few years ago our neighbour was organising his dad's burial, the contract made it clear it was a lease with an expiry date. I forget now, think it was 80 years or something.

Dead is dead as far as I care. After my spirit floats away to wherever you can chuck me in the local waste incinerator for all I care. My dad's a jar of ash, I don't even know where - guess his wife got it, haven't ever cared to ask.

I suspect that the Isrealis did desecrate the graves deliberately. Part of the superiority thing that seems to be a component of both Jewish and Muslim attitudes.

We shouldn't tolerate intolerance, but that is what we're currently doing far too much of in the UK. Either we're all one caring sharing society or we're not. Everyone can't be better than everyone else.

Some people feel that the grave stone and grave honours the memory of the deceased and that is would be sacrilegious or dishonourable or disrespectful to vandalise them.

You'd think someone claiming to be an ex-serviceman would express outrage at such an event.
