I was watching the news tonight, absolutely horrified at the images of the very young emaciated children, truly horrifying to see - but then I take note of the grieving parents and I notice they don't look thin let alone emaciated - what's going on?

The photos I saw showed very skinny parents too.

Children always starve faster than adults, it's basic biology.
