Hi All,

I had a 32kw Biasi installed a few weeks ago (yes by a Corgi) but after being commissioned and tested we had to turn it off because I had to wait for the electrician to finish wiring the kitchen before the boiler had a permanent power supply.

The electrician finished yesterday and we turned the boiler on and got it ignited again.

This morning there's a puddle of water under the boiler and it appears to be leaking from inside. There's no loss of pressure to the boiler. I've attached a picture - the leak is dripping form the edge of white plastic about 2 inches away from the pipe you can see.

I know there's been a similar post just recently about a leaking Biasi but I won't be taking mine apart to investigate. The electrician didn't open the boiler (just used the cable fitted and left hanging by the plumber).

Obviously I'll be calling my plumber back to take a look but would like to have you guys thoughts on what the issue is?

It could be practically anything, though unlikely to be a worn seal like the other Biasi as is't so new.

Hi Chris,

Thanks for your prompt response.

I appreciate that without getting under the cover no-one is able to give an exact diagnosis but wondered if anyone else had come across such a problem are fitting this boiler or if there's a know/common fault with this model?

Also I've powered off the boiler and turn the water supply off using the tap under the boiler - anything else I should do to prevent any further damage before the plumber can get back to me?

Thanks again

At the installation stage there is any part which could leak!

Its the installers responsibility to deal with any problems as they arise.

Its most likely to be the condensate trap connection which needs tightening if the leak is only when the boiler is working. Nothing at all serious.

These are very reliable boilers so any problem is most likely to be something the installer has not tightened or something he has installed.
