if you do wrong you deserve the full weight off the law
its just a shame some evil crimes can often be brushed under the carpet because its on the fringes where some in charge decide its not worth full weight off the law not a political point more a they think they are superior and the laws should not apply to them ??

They shouldn't have to, but the public are taking matters into their own hands to catch pedophiles.

I wonder what the story is here with this guy, did Labour know about him before he got caught? Were the 'serious allegations' around him regards this or something else?

Will be interesting to see what transpires.

did labour know ----is the point i am making --church---political/ruling classes/big institutions ---coverups seem to be the default situation if they are allowed to get away with it

Yeah I think you're very likely right. He left the party in 2004-2005 under a shadow of serious allegations apparently. It's 2025 now though, so has he been offending all that time without anybody doing anything? One hopes not but...

Just read in another article he's had his home searched too.

Edit: I've got the dates wrong. He got suspended in 2024.

I've run 'ivor caplin' through the BBC search option on the BBC news site and nothing has come up about this in the results on my device.
