Isn't there a saying about asking twenty economists the same question and getting twenty different answers. I am sure there will be plenty of distinguished economists who disagree.

The lie, as far as I am aware, is he claimed Scottish authorities were arresting people for praying in their own homes, when the letter posted said if they could be seen or heard praying they would be prosecuted.

The Scottish greens put up a post saying it was disinformation and then about 200 people posted the letter. They are claiming sending a letter saying not to be viewed or heard praying at home isn’t criminalising praying at home.

I’m sure you looked into this past the newspaper article you read? The letter is public domain

The distinguished economists who disagree have the track record of the EU, and previously the Soviet Union, as their track record. The ones who agree have the US and six, trillion dollar companies to show, whereas the EU has Nestle.

Nicholas Maduro in venuzuella rigged a vote and blamed “imperialist interference”

Alexander Lukashenko, Belarus, claimed the EU and US were funding opposition to topple him after a clearly rigged vote.

Robert Mugabe, Slobodan Milosovic, all very big on foreign interference .

It’s a hallmark of dictatorships and the go-to when you want to overturn or rig votes.
