Is that a comment on EVs in general or is it specific to the EV400 Jag?

Yes all virtually the same price was offered, BMW dealers just seemed to offer a better deal so I went with their car, it was on my shortlist so wasnt an impulse buy.Did you take it various places to get a value, or just the BM dealer ?
And genuinely I thought it was newer 1, the way you were so proud of it.

I wanted more than that tbh. I got it too. They already knew you'd failed the fool with too much money test by walking into the BMW showroom. So I'm revising my guess to 42p.

ms motorbiking was looking at a used X1 from various car supermarkets, ended up getting the best deal from a BMW dealer including a 1 year BMW warranty which she used.Yes all virtually the same price was offered, BMW dealers just seemed to offer a better deal so I went with their car, it was on my shortlist so wasnt an impulse buy.

Spot on.10-12K ?

The X1 I got I specced it fully loaded, Tech Pack 1 & 2, cruise control, M sport, Metalic paint, petrol plug in hybrid etc. I was told the X1 is completely bullet proof and the best BMW out of the X drive range. Is she happy with it?ms motorbiking was looking at a used X1 from various car supermarkets, ended up getting the best deal from a BMW dealer including a 1 year BMW warranty which she used.

It needed a new gearbox within a week, but I can't help thinking the dealer knew of the fault when he traded it in, gave a low trade in and then scammed BMW for the parts under her warranty. The X1 I got I specced it fully loaded, Tech Pack 1 & 2, cruise control, M sport, Metalic paint, petrol plug in hybrid etc. I was told the X1 is completely bullet proof and the best BMW out of the X drive range. There are a few reasons why people buy SUVs and other huge vehicles – status symbol, to spend their pension pot, desire of safety for “loved ones” etc. Perhaps 1% have a legit need, like caravan towing or off-road use. You're right. You do look good in it.
84p?I bought my Range rover in 2018 and paid 56k for it, guess how much I got in a trade in against my BMW only a couple of weeks ago?
