Has anyone had problems with the above mentioned fittings? I fitted 8 on a job in aug 2008 and am about to replace no.s 10 & 11!
I think that the electronic ballast cant cope with being on as long as it is - anything up to 16 hrs per day in winter - but JCC insist that the fittings are up to the job.
They promised a lab report on one faulty fitting but it seems to have mysteriously vanished.
Thought about reducing lamps to 38W instead to reduce heat, but just wondered if anyone has had similar problems?
Any help appreciated.
Tim.

August 2008? Did they replace a load of old 2D fittings? I know of a job meeting this exact description thats all

Was it a food shop between Pontefract and Doncaster?

" I fitted 8 on a job in aug 2008 and am about to replace no.s 10 & 11! "

Could you clarify this bit please?

The fittings are in a block of flats in the communal hallways. They are controlled by a photocell, through a contactor.
I have replaced 9 faulty units so far and am about to replace 2 more to make 11. All are replaced under guarantee, but it costs me 1 hour labour every time I change one. JCC will not reimburse for this cost.
Any suggestions?
Tim

All the replaced fittings come with a new 12 month guarantee, so when they fail before the 12 months is up, i have little choice but to fit them foc.
unfortunately i'm in a vicious circle.
