Joining lead pipe to copper pipe

ChrisR said:
As I said, you're exposing fresh lead to the water by soldering it. Old lead pipes are covered in scale which practically stops dissolution of the metal.

Makes sense but only "cleaned" the lead as far as the copper would go down. And surely much better than drinking tank water :D

nothing wrong with a bit of lead (it just affects your short term memory)

nothing wrong with a bit of lead

didnt i just post something ?

I just think back to my fishing days when I used to close the lead shot around the line using my teeth
