May seem a silly question to some, but its just something I feel unsure about after college tonight and I didn't have time to ask.

When using, say a 6 way JB, is there a standard way you should use the terminals? i.e. should you always use the same terminals for bringing the supply in / taking it out. Or is it more down to personal preference and how you prefer to "dress" the box.

Convention tends to be permanant live and neutral in the middle too terminals, but it really doesn't matter at all.

What ever is easiest really unless the terminals are marked.

Years ago choc block was marked L and N but nooone took any notice, it was also common for some to put N to the left and L to the right and earth in between, derived from the layout of a plug I think.
