Putting my dishwasher back and noticed the flex was crushed, exposing and copper and pretty much cutting it in half.

I'm in a rush of time and dont have the tools or crimps to put in a new connection at dishwasher, so is it okay to use a terminal box to rejoin the flex? Would be accessible.

The flex is h05vv-f cable which is the reason I'm asking. Dont want terminal box to not be able to cope with heat of appliance if that will be a factor. Cheers

I'm no expert but I'd be very surprised if the box couldn't handle the heat, it's not as if it's connected to an oven. However I'd probably try to make sure it isn't touching the dishwasher.

By 'terminal box' I hope you mean an enclosed unit and not just a choc block type of joint that some people wrap sticky tape around?
