Joist hanger size

Morning,
Im bulding a deck and have 147x47 mm timber (145x45 actual size.
I purchased 47mm hangers from the timber merchant but they are actually 47mm unlike the timber.
Have I missed something?
Shouldn't the timber be snug in the hangers?

Just a close fit .Not going to move once you have 20+ twist nails in it.

You could try a 44mm or put a 2mm spacer down the side of it.
