(although it is a very true statement)tarbz, your question is ambiguous. You will get more response if you explain more specifically what you intend to do. People are less likely to advise you if they don't know what it is exactly you want to do. Some (but certainly not all!) of the things you should include are:
Is your plan to remove an existing ceiling rose and instead have 3 downlights?
Are these downlights mains voltage or 12V?
What is above your bedroom (i.e. is there a loft space above the bedroom which you can access?)
