Hey people,
Now i need to make a small strip light that has a self contained starter and switch,where can i buy these from?also it needs to be powered by a plug is this possible.if so what fuse rating shall i use.
This strip light is to be used under a kitchen cupboard.
Any advice would be appreciated.

All fine, these can be bought from any DIY shed (b&q, homebase, focus) as can plugs and flexes. Use 1.0mm 3c flex and a 3 amp fuse in the plug.

make sure any wiring and especially flex is adequately restrained such that its not going to get pulled out of terminations. possible methods of restraint include cord grips compression glands and possiblly cable clips
