Keeping the family cats off of the newly planted tubs

Hi

When our cats are not busy wiping out the local rabbit population, they are likely to turn their attentions to the tubs my missus has just planted up - what's the best method for keeping these bad boys off the greens? Thanks for all ideas.

you mean they lie on them? poke some twigs or sticks into the surface so there is no open area big enough for a cat (not just as a fence round the outside)

as the plants grow they will cover the sticks.
