Fine in that situation, with necessary safeguards but widely drawn powers have a habit of being abused. I’m thinking if the people arrested for being in possession of a privateye cartoon. Look how Trumpf abused his powers.

I also have great reservations about any more intrusion. But I think the OP article has skewed what is actually happening. At the moment, this doesn't seem to be about arresting people for pre-crime. It seems to be about police forces getting ahead of the game so that they can be in the right place at the right time.

Out of a hundred people who have typed I’m going shopping on their face book page, a handful may be shop lifters. That doesn’t justify intrusive surveillance on all 100 in order to identify a few would be offenders. It does mean that use of a common word or group of words will be used to record perfectly innocent
individuals as potential terorists on police systems.

I think Trump has got Starmers number, I think he enjoys making him uncomfortable

Trump makes everyone uncomfortable. Especially, Melania!

I think Starmer is doing a decent job of handling him. As cringe making as it is.

He’s only little. Probably been that way most of his life.

Is that a problem for you?
