I am working on my stairs and the bottom step is a bullnose (90° bend)
Ideally I would use 18mm MDF as that gives me a spacer of the right size for the upstand.
I could use thinner then pack it out.

I have access to track saws and a chop saw.

How do you determine the area to kerf ? Bend a bit of card to calculate the rough area?
How big a kerf would be needed ?
Maybe a series of chop sawed slots and then remove every other surviving bit of wood?
I can experiment but need to have an idea where to start

TIA

Consider gluing up thinner sections ofboard

The flexi stuff is great, used it for some set we were building to do some arches

I did something similar but for plywood, for a kids project, so I had to only use materials I already had, but if I was doing something for the house I would have paid up for the right thing.

Thanks
I can buy bendy MDF - I just need to pack it out to somewhere near 18-22mm so could do it in stages.
