Keston C25 (open) problem not matched in diagnostics

Which is the point the OP made to start with, which everyone (except me ) seems to have been overlooking. Lots of possible causes of ignition failure, but why should any of them stop it going to lock-out after 5 or whatever attempts?

No Chris, we, or at least I, have concluded that it is not getting to the ignition stage. It can only lockout when it has reached, but failed, the ignition stage.

I see your point, Tony. Which is what the OP (where is he?) said too. You're right .

BUT ALWAYS ADHERING to the Manufacteuring instructions , I havent got here is wrong I know , an the boilermakers tech line is best bet , but they always ask for a mutt number ,usually ...lol

I would be interested to know how much Keston charge for fixing this fault! I wouldn't even bother going to a callout for a keston fault as it would almost certainly be a pcb fault (just out of warranty no doubt). I bet the keston guys would just swapout the pcbs to find out which one was faulty!

I am still not convinced that its a PCB fault. Thats the last thing I ever suspect.

We have no evidence that the system pressure switch and the gas pressure switch, if fitted, or the APS if fitted or the condensate sensor have been properly checked.

A word of warning from an installer, if you have to call out Keston service engineers (which you will trust me) then make sure the customer dosnt miss the appointment, mine did & Keston kindly sent me a bill for £82-25 call out charge, so i sent them an invoice for the several in warrenty visits i made to repair there crappy boilers.
Up until about a year ago Keston boilers wernt to bad, but recently i have has a lot of problems with faulty ignition & very noisy burners, i will not be installing any more despite the flexibe flue system.

PS. if your reading this Keston then start looking after the installers, no installers = no Keston
