Kingspan and batten question

If the battens for my shed are slightly shorter than my insulation by say 3 or 4mm how risky would screwing the osb board to the the battens be leaving a small gap behind the osb

The other option is obviously to add a small strapping to make it slightly protruding but I was curious if it would be possible to avoid doing so without reducing the strength overly.

Apologies if this is a stupid question never built and insulated a shed before :)

3 or4 mm is fine 30 or 40mm [1.5"]would be worth thinking about but as its non structural dont worry
