Kitchen cabinet lights to main circuit

Hi Peeps,

I currently have under cabinet kitchen lights (Transformed) plugged into a mains powered socket switch (as it should be)... BUT I was wondering if it is possible just to wire them straight into the main lighting circuit in the kitchen.

It would still be using the transformer but instead of a mains socket switch, it would be power be the lighting circuit.

I was either going to run a wire to another light switch so I would have 3 switches and use the live feed that is currently there OR just attach it to the main light so when that's on, the cabinet lights come on.

Let me know if this is probable and shouldn't cause any issues.

Yes it is possible to link feed the transformers via the lighting circuit.
If you want the cabinet lights on a separate switch function, you will require both live and neutral, note not all black or blue cables are neutrals. (I would also take an earth even if not required, as it maybe required on replacements lights and also helps with the testing of the circuit).
If you want them to come on with the kitchen lighting, then connect across the switch live and neutral of the kitchen fitting.

Do you know for sure that there's also a neutral at the light switch?

It's NOT a WALL-MART (Asda) transformer. It is one with a flying lead bought as a kit from an electrical specialist. Not one of these knock-off from Poundland.

There is defiantly a neutral and the light switch.
