Hi,
I've bought few years back LAP downlights from Screwfix. I guess I've got what I paid for :( After some time the lens from them started to drop off, however otherwise they're still good working downlights so no point to replacing them. I'm assuming they can still be used without covering lens, however expecting the life of them will be shortened.
I kind of stuck as wanted to buy new downlights and replace 2-3 which are having a problem with the lenses, however looks like new ones are having different setup and it's not looking good in the kitchen as 3 new new ones are having different light strength than other 7. In this case I don't want to replace all 10 lights due to faulty lens in 3 of them.
Now I'm looking at easy option to stick the lens back, just trying to pick the best options like heat resistant glue/silicone. Please advise what would be the best to do it or even post the link to the product which can be used.

Details for these: LAP Cosmoseco Fixed Fire Rated LED Downlights Chrome 5.8W 450lm

Thanks

An inevitable consequence of buying lights which don't use exchangeable bulbs....

I suggest that you use an Epoxy Resin - such as Araldite.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/s?k=araldite&crid=15HHVYGYNS0PS&sprefix=araldite,aps,351&ref=nb_sb_noss_1

Use only the smallest amount possible and hold the lens in place with "sellotape", while the resin sets. (24 hours)

Epoxy resin tends NOT to stick to sellotape
but sellotape can be awkward to remove.

Because of this, fold over a "tag" at one end of each sellotape strip.
Such a "Tag" makes it easier to remove the sellotape strip.

If any tape splits and leaves a piece
it can be more easily removed after wetting - with water.

(One hopes that you are now using LEDs, so heat should not be a problem.
Halogen lamps emit UV light, which is why a glass lens cover was provided.
Epoxy Resin can withstand heat
but
it tends to "yellow" if exposed to UV light !)

Just for some folks who might have the same problem... found some Bostik clear glue @ Range with some proper temperature resistant parameters (up to 150 celcius). Hopefully it won't fade after few months, however so far it's working well and lens are still in place after 3 weeks.
Defo would consider Epoxy as mentioned in previous comments, however due to time constraint had to go with Bostik as it was available locally.
Fingers crossed!

As these are LED, high temperatures should not be a problem, but good input.
