Firstly - Not my mistake but that of a large and famous DIY chain.
Fitting a kitchen for my daughter and the store advertises a drawer for under the built-under oven. Kitchen is small so we decide it is worth having for more storage instead of just a blanking panel.
Fit the drawer according to instructions and drawer binds . . .
Think for a while . . .
The shelf the oven stands on sits on two pieces of conti about 3" high fastened vertically to the inside of the unit. The drawer runners also fit to these. They happen to be 19mm conti.
The rest of the carcase is 16mm conti.
Replace these two parts with new ones made from 16mm conti and the drawer works fine.
Now which idiot decided to make these from thicker conti without altering the width of the drawer?
OK, it s B&Q.
