Does anyone know of a good joiner or kitchen fitter in west lothian to fit my kitchen worktops ,because based on what i've read on this forum it sounds like a pain in the arse to do and is easier to pay someone ;)

Can't help you find a fitter but couple of tips as to wheather he is any good or not. Find out what he intends to cut the joint with, anything other than a jig & router is no good, also make sure he uses fixing bolts (or dogs) to hold joint together, 2 on a 600 wide top is enough.
Make sure he puts something on the mating surfaces, silicon or pva, everyone has there own stories about these 2, but in truth neither is better or worse than the other.
Good luck
