Kitchen/hob extractor

I have a new kitchen extension which requires a mechanical extractor for building regs. The position of my hob is now against an internal party wall. A hob extractor would mean ducting of approx 6 metres (straight line, 1 x 90 turn from vertical to horizontal).

Would it be possible to use a secondary inline (centrifugal) extractor to generate enough airflow?
