We are just getting ready to install a new kitchen in our extension. We have chosen Black Gloss doors for most of the units in a L shape with the one side of the L sticking into the room creating a peninsular. The peninsular will have a 900mm wide worktop to give a breakfast bar.
There will also be a Burgandy island on castors with a similar worktop over.
We didn't want to purchase the original end panels as they were stupidly expensive.
What options can you guys suggest for finishing the back of the cabinets on the peninsular/island and also the end panels? So far we have thought about either 15mm plywood with tiles over or to purchase some splashback and glue it on.
