The way i intended on wiring the kitchen spotlights was to take an individual 1.5 T+E from each of the 5 spotlights to a junction box. From that junction box bring my switch wire in and my live feed from next light. Just not sure how to wire junction box though ( with respect to switch wire live feed an neutral) as it could get messy...

The kitchen nightmare goes on... I am now putting spotlights in the kitchen, the bathroom is above it how-ever, and two of my lights are under bath, is this ok.
I understand about zones, but as these lights are under bathroom floorboard; does this exempt them from zone? does my floor need waterproofing under bath?

Wiring is covered in the reference section but just to clarify -

Terminal 1 - The supply cable has the Red/Brown permanent live which should be placed in the terminal with the Red/Brown switch wire.

Terminal 2 - The supply cable has a Black/Blue neutral which should be placed in the terminal with the Black/Blue supplying the lights

Terminal 3 - The Switch wire has a Black/Blue switched live which should be labelled Red/Brown and placed in the terminal with the Red/Brown of the cable suppling the lights

Terminal 4 - All the earth/cpc wires should be sleeved yellowgreen and placed in the terminal together

Most junction boxes only have access for 4 cables so you may need to use a chock box or similar for that many light cables as you haven't looped them.

The lights are outside the bathroom zones and if the bath leaks you will have big problems regardless of sealing the floor up!

I once got useful early warning of a leak when water started dripping out of one of the kitchen spots. If it hadn't been for them I might not have known about it until the ceiling came down....
