I want to do a DIY kitchen install basically my old kitchen is a wreck and needs ripping out, any pointers

Go to a kitchen showroom (wren), get a design done, then go online to a better , cheaper place such as DIY kitchens and order.
1. Rip out old kitchen
2. Install new kitchen
3. Drink a beer.

at this stage just make yourself a rough drawing of what you want - eg. locate positions of appliances and sink, elec devices, and base units etc.
you dont need dimensions just yet just positions.
take pics of the existing kit interior and its exterior, and post them on here.
