In the process of renovating my bathroom and also doing some work in the kitchen.

I don't have an electric fan in neither place at the moment and want to install one in each area.

What is a good make and model to go for ?

Thank you for the response.

Can you please confirm what the diff between the Low Volt unit and the non SELV unit?

Which would I need for the UK?

Low voltage will require a transformer, and may be required for some bathroom locations. Non SELV will be 230v and can go in kitchens and toilets.

Thanks. So for normal bathroom installation, a standard 230v will be ok?

You need to check the location zones, to check if it needs to be low voltage or standard mains voltage depending on where the fan will be sited.

It is not a zoned area as it is more than 60cm away from the bath tub and other sources of water. If anything, it might turn out to be a Zone2 at worst.

Then you can use a regular 240V model.

Will it go directly through the wall? If so, easy. Otherwise you need a fan that can cope with the length of ducting that you have.

Thanks. The wall thickness is the thickness of brick plus 70mm cavity and then thickness of the other brick. So altogether about 250mm overall depth. It is to be fitted to a new bathroom and currently there is no holes. So all will need to be drilled. Can the above model be fitted to my bathroom then or is the thickness is too much?

From dimensions, it seems the backend is only 80mm deep. So does it mean I will need to fit a ducting to the back of it or will it not work?

250mm is fine; I was asking in case it had to go to the other side of the building with lots of bends.
Normally you get a fan, a short length of duct, and an external vent. They may come in a kit together or you may buy them separately.
