Hi, We've recently replaced the white kitchen sealant next to the kitchen sink, but a month later it has crumbled. It's quite a wide gap and annoying to keep having to redo it. Any advice or suggestions please.

Lesley,

1cm is to be honest a little wide for sealant to promote the desired bond, another idea would be to use beading. These can be plastic or wood and range from a basic quadrant to a highly decorative feature, they can also be easily attatched using just a bead of silicone. Have a think and check out your options.

The Dec is right, not enough proximity for the bond to take effect....use beading to plus the gap then seal the beading with a thin seal...it will do the job and look better
