Kitchen sink waste not McAlpine?

Hi, i've bought a Granite sink from toolstation

its german manufactured and comes with a non trap waste kit, which is basically the 2 wastes and some push fit connections finishing with a horizontal male thread ready to screw a running trap onto. I was told at my local plumbing shop that McAlpine trap wont fit. Anyone any ideas of other makes i could try.

I'm also wanting to find something to connet my dishwasher waste pipe to.

UK wastes/traps are a standard size, so if McAlpine won't fit I doubt anything will. What do Toolstation recommend you use?

Fat bit of rubber pipe and a jubilee clip..bit like a Fernco. If done well is very reliable.

did this come with the grey double bowl kit?never had a prob fitting a standard trap with these.
