I have bought a new stainless steel kitchen sink, as well as clips it comes with a sort of plastic triangle with a tap size hole. I presume this is to reinforce or support the tap hole, but I am not clear how to fit it and there are no instructions Any advice gratefully received.

Pass the tap through the sink, add the plastic triangle then do up the back nut.....it prevents the thin sink flexing.
