Hi All,

This is the kitchen worktop in a rental property we have. I'm not sure how this damage happened as we weren't notified of it and the tenants have now left (I suspect ingress of hot water).

Anyhoo, the counter is very stiff and the lifted part cannot be pushed back down - does anyone think this is repairable somehow? Or is the only option to replace the worktop?

Definitely replace.

Damage looks to be caused by the joint not being made and sealed correctly and so water has penetrated the joint. I do think you need to get a professional in.

It's Maintenance so the costs involved are tax deductible.
