knifing off cylinder foam

not something I usually do

as the copper is thin and soft, what advice on cutting the foam off (to fit cylstat) without damaging the copper? I suppose something fairly blunt?

i just cut round the stat with a stanley knife.
the cylinders not that thin and soft.

Clean any residue off with nail varnish remover.
