Hi I am wanting to knock down 2 structural load bearing walls in my house. Apart from getting a quotation from a builder what else do I need to do? Who do I contact regarding legalities and getting drawings etc?
Many thanks

You need to inform building control and they will want to see calculations from a structural engineer. The SE should also do drawings for you.

Might not be as simple as just sticking in a couple of beams. You might need new steel columns and/or new footings etc.
