Cost for load bearing wall opening

Hi

Can anyone give me a rough cost for a builder to insert a RSJ into a load bearing wall spanning 7m, I will be buying the beam and knocking the wall out and re-plastering etc.

Spanning 7 metres! That's not a small thing, and you will need it to be designed properly.

You're looking at £150 minimum just for the calcs, then the builders costs on top. To get a decent SE try www.findanengineer.com and get yourself some quotes.
