Not quite. Although the gen will be 400v, the output will be star, and used as such.

You would get 724amp per phase.

This can be derived in two ways :-

(500,000 / 3) / 230 = 724amp

or

{500,000 / (400/sq-rt 3) } / 3 = 724amp
 
Very similar to how we deal with the DNO. A medium industrial supply (ok small) is 138kva when talking to the DNO, but I know this is 200amp per phase supply.
