MP Mike Amesbury jailed for 10 weeks for punching constituent in street
In a video, the former Labour MP could be heard shouting: "You won't threaten the MP ever again, will you?"

You don't tend to get a sentence when you have a valid defence - such as self defence, protection of property, prevention of crime, attempted citizens arrest etc etc. But I suspect you know this.Quite right too...
If fact any thug whatever party they belong to or support should be jailed for a violent attack...
In this case it was with fists which got him 10 weeks...
I wonder what the sentence should be for hitting someone in the head with a potentially lethal weapon such as a heavy scaffold pole should be?
What do you think, mottie?

will likely trigger a by-election. Unless the other parties are sleeping.![]()

I think mottie was expecting people to complain about him being sentenced. You don't tend to get a sentence when you have a valid defence - such as self defence, protection of property, prevention of crime, attempted citizens arrest etc etc. But I suspect you know this.

Perhaps he was simply sharing the good news.
Ever heard of excessive force? You don't tend to get a sentence when you have a valid defence - such as self defence, protection of property, prevention of crime, attempted citizens arrest etc etc. But I suspect you know this.
