hi, I have to repair a screed floor after a suspected water leak, there is no longer a leak problem, all the old felt lagging has been removed to expose about an 18 inch run of copper pipe, I want to seal the screedand sub floor with a cwment based waterproof slurry, then make good the floor, my question is, is it ok to just tape up the copper pipes with gaffer tape to prevent erosion then re screed or will I need to replace the lagging, even though it is such a small run, cheers jd.

Hair felt lagging isn't waterproof personally i'd use denso tape it's coated in a petrolatum compound keeps it waterproof.
