I'm currently laying Quick-Step Uniclic Quadra tiles through my hallway and kitchen and would definately recommend them! I laid the same tiles 5 years ago in my conservatory and have taken so much abuse from the kids and still look a good as the day I laid them, so it was a must for the hallway and kitchen!

Very easy to lay, but can be difficult to cut in a curve. I resorted to an angle grinder of all things, which got the job done.

Good luck

Hi there. I agree with Scottie361. I too would recommend Quickstep laminate flooring. It might be pricier than the other laminates that you can buy from the big DIY sheds, but it is a better quality product and much easier to fit.
Which direction are you laying the laminate? I would lay the boards so that the short end are facing the window, in the direction of the incoming light. I hope you understand what i mean. lol. I normally use a jigsaw with a special laminate cutting blade.
Remember to make sure your sub-floor is completely level, choose the correct underlay and leave 10mm expansion gap all the way round.
Hope it helps
Good luck

thanks for the replies guys.

I've ordered the Uniclic laminate as it was my first choice regardless of the cost.

I'm laying the laminates towards the direction of the incoming light and i'll be using the fibreboard underlayer over the timber flooring.

Guess i'll make a template around the window bay and cut the laminate that way.
