Hi,

Just removed the carpet and underlay from my snug room, this is a garage conversion with an insulated wood subfloor finished in chipboard. I have done laminate before and have removed the skirtings etc, the flooring needs a 10mm expansion gap. To keep out any draughts shall I tape (which tape) the chipboard joins and fill behind the skirts with foam or do I need some ventilation? I want a cosy room that doesn’t cost much to heat.

Cheers.

As long as you allow expansion for the laminate, you can seal 'behind' the skirts however you need.
