Laminate underlay.

I have lifted up carpet downstairs in a property I am doing up and the underlay underneath is in good condition and it is the good underlay the green cushion type.

Is laminate ok to lay straight on top of this or do I need to take up ?

No, you can't use carpet underlay, the laminate will fail and break appart as there is far too much movement. Better to lay the Laminate on fiberboard underlay or the foam sheeting stuff if you are on a very tight budget.

I prefer the board type for better feel need foot.
