Lamona Dishwasher HJA8640

Hi,
I hope somebody will be able to advise me.

I have a Lamona Dishwasher (HJA 8640) made by Beco.
It worked fine last week. However, today when I turned it on it did not work.
It only makes a noice and it does not take any water.

Does anywone know what the possible problem(s) might be?

What is making the noice?

It goes like this:

I set the programme (half load & 30 degree wash) and turn the dishwasher on. I then close the door and I hear a gentle noice (like the machine is on, I could compare it to a motor bike's gentle sound)
The water is not being taken.... during this sound.

I hope this makes sense.

Its in anti flood mode either due to an internal leak or because its over foamed for various reasons on the last wash. unplug appliance and place a towel on the floor and tilt appliance towards the towel and water will spill from the base this will then reset it but if it keeps reoccouring its due to an internal leak which would need checking.

Is there another way of checking if there is a leak rather than tilting it?
