Just for interest as I didn't know this.
Broadband package was up for renewal.
£75 going to £126.
I phoned the retention line number I found online.
Lady answered straight away. None of that press 1 or 2 business.
Asked to drop a speed on broadband so I'm on 500meg. Still way faster than we need.
Dump the landline as this is quoted to cost around £9 per month. We don't use it. What's the point of it?
So
TV package and Netflix plus broadband.
Total £38.
Took about 10 mins and easy.
Result!
The interesting bit.
Re landline...
You can port your landing to a few different companies now for £15 then £4 a month so that's cheaper.
You can then put app on phone. Mobile will ring along with house phones.
So if you want to keep landline port it to a different provider before you phone internet company and renegotiate deal on TV and internet only.
Rant.
Mother in law stayed with us after falling ill.
Doctors ect were calling her landline at home.
She was getting frustrated as not hearing back from doctor even though she has a mobile which she uses all the time.
Honest..if I had hair I'd pull it out!
