Larch Cladding - help!

On a new build, (ICF construction) we’re going to have vertical board on board cladding. We were going to have Siberian Larch, but not now, for obvious reasons, so are looking at Welsh or British larch instead. I’m getting conflicting advice from different suppliers. Should it be kiln dried and planed all round
or just fine sawn. We’re not treating it as we want the fased silvery look. But which will be more durable?

I don't think they'd be much difference in durability in terms of the timber itself. Possibly planed will shed water better so less liable for staining?
