I just read here: http://answers.wickes.co.uk/answers/9987-en_gb/product/224669/questions.htm?page=2

"This product will not work over existing tile adhesive as this will not adhere correctly."

Do we agree?

If so, what compound could I use instead? I will much prefer a long drying time, I don't need to be walking on it after five minutes.

There is this one: http://answers.wickes.co.uk/answers/9987-en_gb/product/154134/questions.htm

and on the first page there people talk about using tile adhesive to fill deep holes before applying the compound. But it's still latex-based and perhaps is the same stuff pretty much?

My floor has a lot of old tile adhesive on it:

Which compound may be suitable? It will go to 5-6mm ultimately, to match some ply.

thanks,
