Hi
My first post so go easy! -)

At a clients today taking off wallpaper when I take it off a nice hole appears!
The laths are broken in places and I really do not like the idea of cutting back and sticking plasterboard in as its original in every other way.

I have repaired normal plastered walls but never Lath & Plaster. Do I need a lime mix? Can anyone detail what materials would be needed?

I know the Laths will need to be repaired first so will be getting those done asap

Base out with bonding coat and skim with multi.
I would not be concerned about all the rest being original, it most likely all knackered anyway.

Clean off to plaster all the paper 300mm out from the patch.

Cut back plaster only on either side to pick up the studs.

Pilot hole (saves splitting) the laths, then nail or screw them into the studs.

Coat the laths with PVA, and then do as above suggests.

Wet down around the patch for the skim.

to be honest those laths don't look significantly damaged
