I notice that many of my neighbours have started lawn cutting (end of March).
Is this too early -- I thought it was best to let the grass dry out first.
On the other hand, the grass is now growing. My front lawn is looking "clumpy".

If it needs cutting CUT IT...My golf course is cut all year. Basically if its dry enough you can cut it.

fine to cut it now, but start with a high cut first and then gradually lower the setting of the blades as you do each cut

Did my first cut four weeks ago, waiting for it to dry up a bit as it badly needs cutting again now.

I use the mower on a high setting up until end of April though.

Saw the first House Martins of the year on Monday. Any made it to England yet?
