Hi all,

Just recieved my order of Elka flooring.

14mm Elka Engineered Rustic Oak floor, Tong & Groove

The instructions say to float the floor but thats not what I want to do.

I want to glue & nail it down to 6mm plyboard.

Can I ask what your opinions are on this method??

Way I see it, if I wanted a floating floor id have bought laminate.

14 mm wood-engineered cannot really be nailed - the T&G is not suitable for this (too thin).

Either install it floating (you have a wrong idea of which floors can or cannot be floated) or fully bond to you plywood with flexible adhesive.
