Hi everyone!

About 8 months ago I decided that our single car driveway wasnt big enough, so I dug up the entire side garden to turn it into part of the driveway! Now the single car bit is just a concrete base as there used to be a garage there once upon a time! I was just going to concrete the rest of the garden to match. Now I have dug the huge hole and thats as far as I have got. What do I do next?

Cheers

lay down and compact, 150mm m.o.t. type1, 30mm-dust granular hard core.

shutter the area to be concreted or lay a kerb race to perimeter. the concrete will need to be a minimum of 100mm thick.

if it is a large area, lay in sections and fit expansion joints where necessary.

tamp the concrete well, then finish the surface to desired effect i.e. trowelled, tamped with trowelled perimeter or brushed.

or match existing. ;)
