Hi, I'm looking at laying new slabs on existing concrete slabs and wondering the top of the new slab will be within 150mm of the damp proofing . is there a easy way round this as I really don't want to lift the existing slabs. any thoughts welcome.

a 150mm shingle skirt around the wall to break up rainsplash and allow the water to drain away from the dpc area would be my plan.
