I have begun a project that involves laying block paving on my drive.
I have roughly raked the hardcore base flat and used a wacker plate on it and put in the edging so i can board and wacker plate the sand flat before i put the blocks on it.
I have noticed that the sub-base is not perfectly level and as such this will mean that the sand will be deeper in some parts than others (although at its shallowest the sand will be 40mm after being wacked down).
I have a simular issue with the foot path around my garden due to a slope although that path will only ever have light foot trafic on it.
Is this a massive problem and will it mean that when i finally whack the blocks down will those on the slightly deeper levels of sand will go down more than ones on the shallower areas.
